We are seeking a Senior Wetland Scientist to join our Natural Resources Planning group and support the management of various ecological science and environmental permitting projects.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Completion of technical tasks such as wetland delineations and habitat surveys
Coordination of field work and oversight of staff involved in field work
Preparation of technical reports, permits, and portions of proposals
Representation of Fuss & O'Neill with clients and regulators including the presentation of technical material at public meetings
Position Requirements:
BS in Biology, Environmental Science, or related natural science field. Master's degree preferred
Typically requires 5-10 years of relevant experience in ecological science and environmental permitting projects
Certification as a Professional Wetland Scientist by the Society of Wetland Scientists or have the necessary qualifications to obtain certification within one year
Intermediate skills in GIS and GPS data collection
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office programs
Ability to occasionally travel in the New England states
Ability to occasionally attend meetings and other events outside of core working hours
This position is located in our Manchester, CT office and will require travel in the New England region. Candidates who are local to and familiar with the New England area will be given preference.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
